We’re hiring for multiple roles!

Who we are & why we’re hiring

At Probably Good, our mission is to empower people to build careers that are good for them and good for the world. We research high-impact career paths, publish online content, host a global job board, and provide one-on-one advising, among a range of other services.

Our reach has grown rapidly over the past year, and with a substantial grant from Open Philanthropy and a new Executive Director leading the org, we’re ready to scale our services and expand our team!

This is an exciting opportunity to join our small organization at a pivotal time – taking on a high-impact role that could shape the careers of people across the globe. You’ll be joining a remote, flexible, and collaborative team that values meaningful work and keeps bureaucracy to a minimum, so we can focus on what truly matters and make things happen together.

Open roles

  • Marketer / Head of Growth — As a Marketer / Head of Growth, you will work on a range of projects, like running digital marketing campaigns, setting up A/B tests on our website, and helping with outreach to relevant groups. This is an exciting hands-on role, where you’ll have significant autonomy to get things done, combining marketing, technical, and editorial work. It’s also a fairly unique opportunity to work on marketing and growth in an impact-focused context.
  • Operations Specialist — As an Operations Specialist, you will own diverse projects, such as upgrading our 1:1 advising systems and streamlining content production. This role spans technical system-building, administrative work, editorial support, and communications—handling both strategic infrastructure projects and essential day-to-day operations as we scale. Ability to work with technical tools like Claude, Airtable, and Zapier is essential.

Practical details

  • Seniority: We’re open to hiring people with different levels of experience, but want to highlight that this role is about doing a lot of hands-on work.
  • Titles: We’re flexible about titles and happy to discuss them at the offer stage.
  • Salary: We offer a competitive salary, which will depend on experience and location. Currently, we hire people as contractors, and we’ll switch them to employees by the end of 2025.
  • Full-time/part-time: We’re open to hiring people anywhere from 60%-100% FTE.
  • Work style: Our team is fully remote and highly autonomous, so the work is highly flexible as long as things get done. We do aim for some overlap each day between work hours though, to facilitate communication between team members.
  • Location: We will prioritize candidates at or near GMT 0 to -5, and candidates need to have at least 3 hours of overlap with US East Coast morning work hours each day. We don’t currently sponsor work visas.
  • Timeline: We will close the role to applications on 27 July, and expect to make an offer from this hiring round by around the end of September, and for a new hire to start by the end of October, but there is flexibility for the right candidate.

The nature of our mission requires us to consider multiple perspectives, which is only possible by making Probably Good a welcoming place to work. We recognize that factors like gender, race, and socioeconomic status can influence people’s willingness to apply for roles even when they’re highly qualified. If you’re excited about our mission but worry you might not be good enough or that your background doesn’t perfectly align, we encourage you to still apply. And if you have any concerns or need adjustments for accessibility, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at team@probablygood.org.
